SUN CITY WEST – A nationwide business organization that promotes hospital safety and quality has including Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center among its top-rated facilities across the country.
The Leapfrog Group named Banner Del E. Webb a Top Hospital following an annual survey, hospital officials announced Tuesday, Dec. 3. Listed hospitals have demonstrated exemplary performance across all areas of quality and patient safety analyzed on the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, according to Banner Del E. Webb officials.
“This is a great honor that reflects the great work our staff, physicians and volunteers are doing every day to fulfill our mission of delivering excellent patient care,” stated Debbie Flores, Banner Del E. Webb’s chief executive officer.
“The staff has come together as a team to make sure we are creating a safe, high-quality care environment for every patient, every time,” added Mystie Johnson, MD, chief medical officer at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center.
“We are proud that the Leapfrog Group has recognized our efforts.”
Banner Del E. Webb was selected out of a record 1,324 hospitals participating in The Leapfrog Group’s annual survey. The selection is based on the results of the survey, which measures hospitals’ performance on patient safety and quality, focusing on three critical areas of hospital care: how patients fare, resource use and management structures in place to prevent errors.
