'Art is Alive' in Surprise

The city of Surprise announced that the second annual “Art Is Alive” arts and cultural festival, presented by WHAM, is set for 10 a.m.-7 p.m. April 6–7 in the Surprise Community Park, 15960 N. Bullard Ave.

This locally-produced event features the works from local and regional artists, small businesses and performing arts groups.

A sampling of the events planned includes: Tohono O’odham Nation Dancers; Bonita Lovett, world famous hip hop dancer; Ability – Not Disability, art for persons with disabilities; interactive demo art with local artists; local performing musicians and dancers; Plein Air Children’s painting contest; and more than 60 local artist booths of original artwork.
