3rd annual Festival of the Superstitions Nov. 9-11 in Apache Junction

The Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce presents the Three Phase Mechanical third annual Festival of the Superstitions Nov. 9-11. The event runs from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. all three days with the carnival and entertainment running later on Friday and Saturday. The event is on the grounds of the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce at 567 W. Apache Trail in Apache Junction. Take Idaho Road north from the U.S. 60 Freeway to the Apache Trail (fourth stop light) and turn east (left) and go one block to Phelps (First light you come to.) Turn south (left) to the parking entrance on the east side of the street. Parking is free.

There will be a carnival, vendor and food booths, beer garden, live entertainment, Harley's Heroes Motorcycle Show benefiting disabled American veterans, with T-shirt and pin sales sponsored by Superstition Harley-Davidson of Apache Junction on Friday, a car show with collector cars on Saturday sponsored by RIPS NAPA Auto in Apache Junction, a Veterans Day Parade and the Superstition Art and Cultural Alliance fine art show on Sunday.

And also, for the cowboy in all of us, Ben Johnson Days events occur in conjunction with the festival during the same weekend.

The carnival runs from noon until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Advance presale wristbands are available at the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce for $18. Carnival wristbands are $25 at the door. Tickets for individual rides are available at the carnival. The carnival is provided by Brown's Amusements.

Proceeds benefit the Apache Junction Scholarship Program, Apache Junction Food Bank and the Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley Apache Junction Branch.
