The fourth annual event kicks off 7 a.m. Sept. 21 with a sunrise breakfast and a hot air balloon golf ball drop at Westbrook Village Golf Club (Lakes). The winning golf ball(s) splits the total raised with the chamber to benefit the Peoria Education Foundation. Golf balls are selling at one for $10, five for $20, 15 for $50 and 40 for $100. Those interested in purchasing golf balls should visit www.peoriachamber.com or call 623-979-3601.
The Peoria Chamber of Commerce requests donations of used golf balls for the fundraiser. The Independent is a drop-off location for the golf balls at 17220 N. Boswell Blvd., Sun City, 85373. Individuals do not need to play in the tournament to buy a golf ball.
